Engage. Inspire. Empower.

As we celebrate 10 years of creating theatre in the East Riding of Yorkshire,

our mission stands on three powerful pillars:

ENGAGES

We create meaningful outreach projects that tackle pressing social issues and give local people a platform to find their voice. From our Community Theatre Company to our Finding Your Voice programme, we help local people to build their confidence and work together. Theatre becomes our tool for creating genuine change and connection in our community.

We inspire young people through our accessible family musicals in partnership with East Riding Libraries and supported by Arts Council England. In 2024 alone, we provided over 600 free tickets to children in arts 'cold spots' — rural areas where opportunities for live theatre are scarce. With tickets priced at just £4 per person (compared to the local average of £15), we make theatre achievable for families who might not otherwise attend. The proof? 65% of our 2024 audience were first-time theatre-goers with She Productions — showing that when barriers fall, more children discover the magic of live theatre.

EMPOWERS

We proudly champion Northern female voices — on and off stage. Each production supports at least one emerging artist, creating vital opportunities for early-career creatives. Since 2015, we've been creating theatre that provides a platform for Northern female artists to lead, write, and perform, ensuring diverse perspectives are not just heard but celebrated.

Our work extends to adult audiences as well, with productions like our signature musical Beverley Does Broadway, which has built a loyal local following. We were also the first in the region to offer parent and baby performances, creating an inclusive space for parents and carers to enjoy theatre alongside their little ones.

Looking forward to the next 10 years…

As we look ahead to the next decade — we want to bring transformative arts experiences to more people in our local community, developing bold new theatre, and building lasting partnerships that secure our future as a cornerstone of cultural development in the EastRiding of Yorkshire.
