Women of Words #SHEFESTDIGITAL2020

Women of Words is a collective of four female writers who run a monthly spoken-word event at The James Reckitt Reading Room in Hull’s central Library. Cassandra Parkin, Louise Beech, Lynda Harrison and Michelle Dee have worked together for four years and have become a successful team.

Women of Words believe it’s really important that women have spaces where they can find their own voices, define themselves through creativity and the sharing of ideas. We believe that sharing words is one of the most powerful ways to do this and that’s what we invite women to come and do.
