Top Tip Number 2

It is estimated that over 40 billion crackers end up in the bin on Christmas Day, often including the plastic gifts that come with them!

Here are some eco-friendly alternatives, so that you can still enjoy a cracking Christmas:

- Buy some fabric crackers like the ones below designed but Kate Sproston which you can reuse year after year

- Make your own. We particularly enjoy this hilarious video that shows you how you can make simple crackers at home.

All you need is:

Wrapping paper (brown paper is ideal as this is also recyclable)

Empty toilet rolls

Cracker snaps

Sweets or little gifts

Ribbon

Glue

Scissors
