It’s Different For Girls Workshops
It’s Different For Girls will tour the North of England in Autumn 2018 with wrap-around workshops that explore themes of ‘Consent, Respect & Relationships’. 15 free workshops for ages 13-18, reaching over 400 participants, will be delivered to young people, particularly vulnerable groups. In association with Hull Rape Crisis, these have been designed through forums with parents & teens where themes from It’s Different For Girls including consent, & sexual violence were discussed.
In 2017 we delivered these workshops to 7 schools & participants agreed they engaged with issues that are underexplored in the current PSHE National Curriculum. Further collaboration with schools & youth services local to touring venues will aid us to adapt workshops for specific area needs. We have created online resources which will be distributed to the participating groups for further exploration.
